for all of you that care he has a brother and father who are Muslims and attend prayer at Jama Masjid in Orlando ..they however did say he was a muslim and I think his name is Ali something but they didnt sound too proud and said he never contacts them and nor do they him....

I must be too old for this thread. I still don't know who or what an Akon is. But, the name makes me smile that is how we pronounce Acorn (Nut on an oak tree)

I broke my silence (time away from this site) just to say, that whether this person is muslim or not has no relevance at all. It is best to stay away from music, and not dwell into such matters.
