Is it good wearing the "songkok"

can we wash "songkok"? some people said that songkok is not suitable for salah as it's dirty (never been washed)...

Same like hats and caps, "songkok" usually washable. But we must wash it with hands. Do not ever use washing machine.

I mean, not washing like wash clothes, but clean it with toothbrush and soap.
