Is it haram if you're alone with a woman for work?

Assalamu alaikum,

I have an important role working in the medical profession generally working as a team but sometimes, not often there's situations where I just can't avoid it being me and a female in the room alone. Is it permissible for me to work here?

Its possible to be in a secluded work environment with someone of the opposite gender and not think about sex. I am talking from personal experience. If you are attracted to her, thats another issue. That said I am sure there are some who say this is haram, and can back it up with hadith.

Whether or not it's haram is to be decided by scholars, however, It's highly recommended to abstain from being alone with opposite gender
