Greetings,

It has become abundantly clear that this thread has been spiralling downhill for some time now. Initially I thought that those interested in asking the question of, 'is it possible to prove the Qur'an is the very Words of God?' would be equally interested in receiving a reply. However, I later came to realise that this was unfortunately not the case.

Instead of responding to replies in a manner befitting a fruitful discussion, such individuals have been ignoring much of what has been explained to them, only to keep repeating the same mistaken ideas, which is very frustrating for all those participating. Detailed reasons have been given with references and quotes of scholars and researchers to show the flaw in their conjecture and fanciful thinking, yet such weak ideas (that are not supported by a shred of evidence) are preferred over factual information. There is a constant pattern of jumping from one weak theory to another. Rational thought is cast out the window.

Certain individuals have even gone to the extreme of distorting the meaning of the Qur'an itself and imposing their own views on it, in a desperate attempt to add credibility to their claims. Yet when such a foolish methodology was exposed, such individuals refused to acknowledge their blatant disrespect towards the Qur'an. The same individuals have also misquoted authors - twisting isolated sentences and disregarding very clear passages. All of this begs the question as to whether such people are truly sincere in their search for the truth, or are simply here to attack Islam.

And after they became frustrated that they could not support their claims, these so-called questioners have began spewing out myths and as many anti-islamic allegations they could find. And when they could think of nothing, they began to use ridicule and scornful comments as their responses.

These are only some examples of the behaviour that such questioners have shown in this thread. From this it is clear that any attempt to provide a response to their questions is a complete waste of time. The first thing such people need to do is question their intentions and whether they truly want to find the answers to their questions. And when they are prepared to cope with the detailed responses given and show they are serious about their questions, perhaps then we can continue with such discussions.

In 34 pages, a whole host of reasons have been presented as to why the Qur'an can only be the Words of Allaah (swt), and not a single one of these reasons have been disproven or in any rational way shown to be untrue. So to stop any more time being wasted in meaningless debate, it is time to close this thread.

Do they not then think deeply in the Qur'an, or are their hearts locked up (from understanding it)? [47:24]
