Hello everyone,
I really wanted to clear a doubt. I just LOVE listening to music and it seems as if I am completely addicted to it. I also love to watch music on TV and listen to songs.
I wanted to ask if listening to music is forbidden in Islam. My father (who is very relagious) says so.
I'm 16 years old and I guess every teenager nowadays downloads songs from the internet and has an iPod. What should I do?
So please could anyone tell if listening to music is haram?
Thanks!
Mohamed

Welcome to the forums :).

Music, playing it and listening to it is Haraam. This has been discussed many times before on the forums. Insha'Allah these links will help answer your question.
