Islam and science

I find it difficult to reconcile these two perspectives; despite the scientific miracles contained in the Quran, science suggests that after death we return to the state we were in before birth—implying that consciousness is a product of the brain and that a return to nothingness negates the existence of life after death. From a scientific standpoint, the cessation of subjective experience is akin to a falling stone. Here, a sharp contrast emerges between science and Islam: science views consciousness as ceasing completely and ceasing to exist, whereas Islam affirms its continuity after death. Is consciousness, then, the "soul"?

If Jannah includes sight, hearing, touch, taste, and continued personal existence, then Islam clearly does not teach eternal unconsciousness. The idea that death means total oblivion is a materialist conclusion, not an Islamic one. The soul continues, and the body will be resurrected in a perfected state by Allah’s will.

When science suggests, it means they don't have a clue, they are guessing.

Science is ignorant on all the big questions. There could be anything between a 100 to 400 billion stars in our tiny little galaxy. There could be anything between a hundred billion, or possibly even up to two trillion galaxies. We can't even guess at how many invisible planets there are in the universe, we can't see them. We know very little about the planets in our microscopic solar system, we have sent probes to the moon and mars, aren't we clever.

Apparently, it would take about thirty thousand years to count up to a trillion. Meaning, we don't have real and solid information to guess about trillions of galaxies, stars and planets. Science is blowing in the wind, we don't have a clue about what exists today. How can science possibly understand what was happening 20, 50 or a hundred billion years ago. This is a totally random number, but we possibly have a little knowledge of about 0.0001% of the universe.

The creation of the universe and life is history, you can't change history. There is a truth.

Everyone who has died to date, has died in ignorance to all the big questions, science has been blind. We can only believe without evidence.

What do you put your trust in, the guesswork of science, or the faith and trust in God.

Beyond a doubt, nothing would exist without God.
