IMPORTANT:

:D Science holds a second-hand value in comparison to the Quran; so it MUST NOT be seen as 100% accurate in certain matters . . .

I love your posts brother :D. Always so bright and colourful with some wacky layouts lol. :)

Is it true that Islam and science are considered to be 'twin sisters'? :)

:D Amongst many they are considered as 'twin sisters', but I prefer Islam as the mother-type to science. Islam has been telling us loads of stuff that Science has just about got to the stage of scraping the surface of its mere dust . . . :shade:

:D Some articles on science:

:) It is remarkable indeed; how Islam has influenced the development in Medical Sciences . . . :D

Remarkable. There is not 1 hospital I know of without 1 muslim doctor at least. Subhanallah.

:D Also as the first verse of Surah al-Jumu'ah states . . . And not a minute; maybe not a second passes; and somewhere in the world; always the name of Allah is mentioned (e.g. Athan and prayer) . . .

Something I posted before:
Islam is a complete and comprehensive system of life which gives us guidance in every sector of life, education being one of them. Islam encourages scientific thinking:

Emphasis of Knowledge in Qur’an
Science and Islam go hand in hand and together increase our understanding of the nature of our existence and our environment. Islam is a religion based upon knowledge.
The Holy Quran invites man to use his intellect, to ponder, to think and to know as the first verses revealed in the Qur’an to humanity were:
96:1-5 Read! In the name of your Lord who created - Created the human from something which clings. Read! And your Lord is Most Bountiful - He who taught (the use of) the Pen, Taught the human that which he knew not.

The ability to write and store information is described by Professor Carl Sagan in his book COSMOS: "Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs, who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time, proof that humans can work magic."

2:269 He [Allah] grants wisdom to whom He pleases; and he to whom wisdom is granted indeed receives a benefit overflowing. But none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.

20:114 High above all is Allah, the King, the Truth. Do not be in haste with the Qur'an before its revelation to you is completed, but say, "O my Sustainer! Increase my knowledge."

Muslims are commanded to pray for knowledge and guidance.

Urging to Think

So have they not pondered over the saying, or did there come to them that which did not come up to their earliest fathers? (Al-Mu’minun 23:68)

… so give good tidings to My bondmen. Who listen to the saying [and] so closely follow the fairest of it. Those are they whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones endowed with intellects. (Az-Zumar 39:17-18)

Arguing with Evidence
Islam favours the logical approach supported by evidence and is diametrically opposed to irrational thinking.
Is not He [Most Charitable] Who begins creation, [and] thereafter He brings it back again, and Who provides you from the heaven and the earth? Is there a god with Allah? Say: Offer your proof, in case you are sincere. (An-Naml 27:64)

Will they not contemplate the Qur’an? And if it had been from [any where] other than the providence of Allah, indeed they would have found in it many difference(s) (An-Nisaa’ 4:82)

Reflecting on Creation
3:190-191 Verily in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day - there are indeed signs for men of understanding; Men who remember Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the creation of the heavens and the earth (with the thought) "Our Lord! Not for nothing have You created (all) this. Glory to You! Give us salvation from the suffering of the Fire."
These verses are evidence that science and religion were not meant to be incompatible by Allah
Allah has placed signs for Muslims in nature and the creation; I.e. science
‘contemplating’ or reflecting on science is an integral part of faith
Muslims should have a good understanding of science so they can appreictate the signs of Allah swt
Respect for Science and Scientists

Say: ‘Are the ones who know equal to the ones who do not know?’ Surely only the ones endowed with intellects would remind themselves. (Az-Zumar 39:9)

See you not that Allah sends water from the sky, and We produce therewith fruits of varying colours, and among the mountains are shades white and red, of varying colours and others black. Likewise humanity, beasts and cattle have their various colours. It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves are God-conscious. Verily, Allah is All*Mighty, Oft*Forgiving. (Fatir 35: 27-28)

Universe Controlled by precise Laws

The laws of science have been set forth by Allah and determined in detail

Surely We created everything by a determined estimate. (Al-Qamar 54:49)

…and He created everything, so He has determined it in an [exact] determination (Al-Furqan 25:2)

Laws of physics, chemistry, astronmy, mathematics, etc. have all been designed by Allah swt and the universe submits to Allah by following them

Discouraging Irrational Thought
Superstition/Augury
“The sun and the moon do not eclipse due to the death or birth of anyone. They are two signs of Allah’s, so, pray when you see them.” (Reported by Al-Bukhari.)

Unscientific thinking
As for 'Ad, they were arrogant in the land without right, and they said: "Who is mightier than us in strength?" See they not that Allah, Who created them was mightier in strength than them? And they used to deny Our Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) (Al-Fussilat 41:15)

Blind following

Nay! (only the disbelievers) say: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we guide ourselves by their footsteps. (Az-Zukhruf 43:22)
