Ya Allah!!! All those posts and reps! I wish I knew this would happen, then I would save a few pages imsad
 
you know it doesnt really matter to us members who have a greater post count to lose like 70 80 posts, but for newer members, if 70 out of 90 posts are gone then its really sad imsad
 
As the sayin goes 'u gain some u lose some'...forums back everythings gone.

I didnt get an email either....oh and I have a banner at the top saying it seems ike i havent posted for a long time :?

No!! you should do, otherwise you may disable receiving any email from Admins in your setting

lol, add to that some very important PMs I lost imsad, I dont rly care about posts and rep as much those imp PM....lets HOPE that such thing will not happen again. Even though I have this feeling that it will, since the forum is going through many changes

so prevention is better than cure, save all your important things from now!
 
Those that got an email it explains everything. It was a fault from an admin and everything has been restored from Oct 5... Oh well never mind.

But we should think about people who woke up this morning and lost their house from war, or lost a family member, or something really important. We lost a few posts and reps. Alhamdulillah we are still well enough to come online and complain about losing our posts and reps! ;D

Seriously where did I leave the pitchforks?

Forum has gone back to October the 5th

The Database Crashed due to some issues meaning it was difficult to restore the data back - totally corrupted the data - pretty serious too

Since there are Daily, weekly and monthly backups, the problem was not discovered until after a few days which meant the daily backup data was corrupted and so was the weekly backup data corrupted - the only option we could go back to was the monthly back up taken on the 4/5th October of this month (Quite lucky alhumdulillah that we had that monthly backup or else it would have been disastrous)

Took a total of 36hours to restore the Entire forum back pretty hard work not that easy but its all back up alhumdulillah!

Unfortunately any data wont be able to be restored

no Danah i havent disabled receiving emails from admins, really :hmm:
lets all hail brother Rashad, for taking us back in time :D =P people normally have to go to black holes for that. ;D

Yeh I pulled the site offline around 8am this morning so it would not work for anything till the restore completed
