Forum has gone back to October the 5th

The Database Crashed due to some issues meaning it was difficult to restore the data back - totally corrupted the data - pretty serious too

Since there are Daily, weekly and monthly backups, the problem was not discovered until after a few days which meant the daily backup data was corrupted and so was the weekly backup data corrupted - the only option we could go back to was the monthly back up taken on the 4/5th October of this month (Quite lucky alhumdulillah that we had that monthly backup or else it would have been disastrous)

Took a total of 36hours to restore the Entire forum back pretty hard work not that easy but its all back up alhumdulillah!

Unfortunately any data wont be able to be restored

phew finally IB is back and i don't care about the posts, reps or whatever but what happened to my enlighten skin?! I was just getting used to it. :exhausted

I think, I will less spend time using this IB.....I will going to read more Islamic books, deens, and other resources.

Wow. Looks like I missed the whole drama. Hah. I think we should get over it, mistakes happen =D. Kinda glad it wasn't hacked or anything. Welcome back LI =P =D

Out of trials there comes great lessons. I have learned a few things from this recent crash and got reminded of things I already knew or should have known.

1. Everything man made is temporary and in time does leave this world. Only Allaah(swt) is eternal.

2. Personal learning is more important than what others teach us.

3. If we truly learn something, we are not hurt if all reference work is lost. (The wisdom of the memorization of the Qur'an as a means of preservation)

4. No forum is more important then our own life and actions.

Yeah, I sort of stopped the e-mail 75% of it's completion of the mailing list because I got an urgent message saying that the forum was still incomplete at that point in time.

Alhamdulillah all is well now. Whew!

Credits due to MPADC. They've really been working hard. For the last few days, they spent nights working on the database etc. No kidding.
