I don't think it covers their entire face just the head.. Muslims weren't known to heavy clad themselves in the early wars at least which has made them extremely successful especially with khalid ibn ilwaleed .. the other side so fearful with their lives weren't agile at all just large pieces of metal to lug around..
The prophet PBUH for one of the battles did send an envoy to learn about those leather blockades that can be used in battle.. Do you see how simple it was back then to be on top of things? now we seem to only want be on top of the bar and music scene.. sob7an Allah this forum is like a fortress of a dying Muslim breed because what I know of out there leaves very little to be desired

This had alot of people around it and no audio so I just got to read that it was from Afghanistan but not sure what it is used for .. so this is a groom's headgear? :D

Yup,i remember i read some stories of wars,Muslim warriors dont care to fight with such protection shields as their destiny was shahadah :statisfie

You remind me of these beautiful verses of Iqbal.(Translation)

He depends on the sword if he lacks in faith:
If he has faith he may need no weapons in the fight.

A Muslim without faith yields to what his fate ordains;
With faith, he is destiny incarnate.

The Grooms in my family dont wear them but its truly interesting to see them wearing (Weddings in other families) and walking with the help of others as they cant see forth :giggling: In some families,brides also wear it.But here,its made up of flowers specially red roses :statisfie

Masha'Allah ukhty you're from Afghanistan? I am so pleased to meet a second sister from Afghanistan.. I was disappointed in the afghans and Iranians I met here in the U.S :(

I cant find it on google,sounds like its veryyyy old :hmm: But im sure its "Sehra" the special fancy cap for Groom and Bride both.The fancy work resembles to the Cap of Kalash women.Its a traditional dress they all wear.
But this fancy thing is on the back not forth.Here.

The grooms (in traditional style weddings not all) wear this in weddings.
