Asalamo alikum i couldn't see a board about islamic parenting so hope this is ok here. I would like some advice from other muslim parents, I have 3 children my oldest child is a 13 nearly 14 year old boy. He is a good boy does as he is told and isn't your typical british yob. He is at that stage when hormones are kicking in and sometimes i find he is grumpy or a twinge of attitude, i don't want to be constantly telling him off whenever i see this but idon't want this to become a habbit.
How best in accordance to islam can i deal with this transission so its as smooth and peaceful as possible. When i look back at how my mum dealed i think she could have been more patient and understanding don't want to make same mistakes.
