Our client creates outstanding internal and external signage solutions for a wide range of market sectors, including corporate, education, healthcare, retail, hotel and leisure. An opportunity has now arisen for an Installation Technician / Sign Fitter to join their team.
This role would suit a technical or engineering professional looking to develop their career within a company offering scope for progression.
As an Installation Technician / Sign Fitter, you will be responsible for providing effective signage installation to customers nationwide.
Working within a team, you will be flexible to changes in order to meet customer requirements and ensure satisfaction.
Your duties will include:
- Installing and assembling various sign systems
- Applying vinyl graphics
- Operating light machinery and tools
- Checking and signing off work on job sheets
- Attending sites to install various sign systems
To be considered for the role of Installation Technician / Sign Fitter, you must have:
- Experience of sign fitting or installation
- A CSCS qualification
Additionally, you will possess excellent communication skills and customer focus and the ability to work well as part of a team and under pressure. Strong attention to detail and a hands-on and practical approach are also key.
Although not essential, a technical or engineering background would be a distinct advantage to your application. An IPAF and PASMA qualification would also be beneficial.
Applicants must live within a commutable distance of Egham or be willing to relocate.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The ideal candidate would have previous experience working as an Engineering Manager for an Architectural/Structural/Design company, and will be offered the opportunity to work with one the most respected and creative companies in its field. The Engineering Manager will work with the Contractor’s Technical Manager and will report to the Project Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist the Project Manager by ensuring that all members of the Site Management Team carry out their duties in a diligent and efficient manner and in accordance with the highest professional standards
· Take action when necessary to ensure proper standards of staff conduct and discipline
· Responsible for the technical control and co-ordination of the activities of the professional disciplines
· Co-ordinate the review of the Contractor’s technical submissions, shop drawings and materials submittals
· Inform the Project Manager on all matters affecting site operations
· Co-ordinate the preparation of reports on technical aspects of the works, including the Monthly Report to the Authority
· Make regular site inspections to maintain up to date knowledge of the progress and architectural quality of the works
· Attend meetings as requested by the Project Manager, and when necessary lead these meetings
· Administrate and control the procurement of office consumables, stationary and arrange the maintenance of office equipments
· Administer and control Site Petty Cash expenses
· Direct the Administration in the keeping of staff attendance records, the preparation of Staff Movement Letters and associated procedures
· Direct the preparation and submittal of the Consultant’s Application for Fee Payment
KEY SKILLS:
· Must have a strong ability of creating and maintaining interpersonal relationships
· Must show initiative and be able to solve problems
· Dynamic and enthusiastic
· Have self-confidence and the ability to work under pressure
· Able to adapt quickly to change
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Degree in relevant field
· Minimum of 20 years experience in an Engineering Manager position
· Must have an excellent command of the English language
