As some of you remember, I built some space onto my existing home to accomodate my mother in law so we could care for her. A couple of months after she moved in, she had another stroke, leaving her quite debilitated.
Things have been busy. Taking care of all of her needs (as well as having careers and being parents) has been quite exhausting. We're making it, though! My wife and I try to remind each other to do this duty with love in our hearts and that this is what task God has assigned us right now. She cannot be left unattended, so on the evenings and weekends, we take shifts to run out for food or whatever we all need. Leaving together for anything is just not an option.
Keep in mind this building project was a huge undertaking. A month prior to that, we lived with my mother for several months to help her in her final stages of cancer. Right before that, we lived with her mother/father to help them as he was dying of cancer. Its been a long haul of servitude to our loved ones.
All that being said, it is rare that I can find a moment to get on this site (which I have genuinely enjoyed), much less post. I just wanted to take time today to log on and say "hello" to all the fine people on here. Know you all are still on my mind and in my heart and I have missed communicating with you.
May you be blessed indeed.
