just wondering the following:
-what is the difference between min and 3an, as is the following ayah:
وَلئنْ أَذَقناهُ نعماء بعدَ ضرَّاء مستهُ ليقلنَّ ذَهبَ السيئاتُ عنِي إِنهُ لفرحٌ فخرٌ
11:10
why isn't minnee (from me) used?

-Also i remeber someone mentioned in another thread that
laa ashrab alQahwa (I dont drink coffee) means a negation
and
maa ashrab alQahwa (i don't drink coffee) is a negation of the present. so in other words the former means i don't ever drink coffee, whislt the latter means, I don't drink coffee now (please correct me if im wrong).

so, im wondering, how does the above rule fit into the context of this ayah:
وَمَا خلقتُ الجنَّ وَالإِنسَ إِلَّا لَِعْبُدُون ِ(51:56
Because that would then negate the present, which doesn't make sense because that would mean that the negation of the worship of Allah in the present.
so iam wondering if i have misunderstood something, or if there is other forms of the maa.

jazakallahu khair.

Intellegent questions mashaAllah !!

first the meanings of 3an عن

1- It means to skip something or be away from it,example:

(سرت عن بيروت راغباً عنها)

and this meaning fits perfectly with the verse, which means the sins is away from him...

2-It means sometimes Ba3d (After) example:

{عَمّا قَلِيلٍ لَيُصْبِحُنَّ نادِمِينَ}

the neagtion with Laa or maa

has a rule has nothing with what you have been told...

Maa can be used with a (noun sentence) (Algomla alismia),or (verb sentence) (Algomla alfelia)

I can post you the whole rule of the negation in Arabic if you like in another post to show you what is the difference between the negation articles :
لم – لما- لن- ليس- ما- إن- لا-لات

(Lam-la-ma-lais-lan-lamma-lat)

{عَمّا قَلِيلٍ لَيُصْبِحُنَّ نادِمِينَ}

the neagtion with Laa or maa

has a rule has nothing with what you have been told...

the word 3anma in the verse is two parts 3an +ma and means after

the meaning of the sentence is (after a little time they will become regret)

but most cases which the word 3an used is with the meaning to skip something or be away from it.........
