The poems are all excellent in their own right .... really difficult to decide

Jazakallah Khayr..I personally feel humbled by the votes..I honestly did not expect more than maybe 2 or at most 3 when I wrote it..I think some of the others were really more deserving of winning, especially the one I voted for - #11. But, Jazakallah Khayr :-[

I just voted right now - good job I didn't read these last posts! It certainly was difficult to vote, then I looked at the discussion thread to see what crtiteria people were using.

Masha'Allaah, mubaarak to Abu Sayyad! I did not expect more than one staff member to participate!

P.S. One thing that made it difficult was the different lengths of the poems... some were powerful but a bit too short compared to others. Maybe next time give a guideline word limit?
