but i read a thread that says they will take off points if i change the name

"we have decided to make a new policy: every username change will cause a minimum of 5% of the respective member's reputation points to be deducted.

Those who frequently change their names will be subject to a higher percentage deduction of 10%."

does this count if you’re changing it for the first time?

Nopes, that doesn't apply for the first name change.
 
Welcome to the forum! Why orange? Why not something specific like...satsuma, tangerine or nectarine? Yummo. They all taste nice with chocolatte!

(Alternative to green names: Golden delicious, Guava, Raw papaya, Grass face...the opportunities for name changing is limitless!)

Guava's a yummo fruit. Though for some odd reason, the guava juices in the UK show a fruit with pink interior and green exterior. I like the one with white interior and green exterior...very yum.
(How about: Kiwi, green grapes, boogers?! etc..lol!)

I say go for kiwi, or watermelon. Failing that you could always be a green fish =P
