The sun of my sky and moon of my night
Whenever you walk by all I can do is sigh
because every time you catch my eye
Your face so delicately chiseled unmatched by the finest of artisan
Any who rise to that challenge would just admit how wrong they have been
Like an angel with your beauty and graceful gait
So full of modesty and fearful about your fate
Every time we talk my words never listen and balk
And I realize gate to my heart has no more lock
The sweetness from you that flows
I swear whenever we talk your face glows
When I see how you are so kind and fair
makes me want to shout that I really care
Your eyes so carefully placed on that well carved face
When they fall and lock with mine, my heart can’t help but race
Singers and harpist can only dream to compete with your voice
To hear to your words I have no other choice
With wisdom you so carefully speak causing no pain
Not a word your tongue says is ever vain
When the wind blows, it makes your hijab dance in the breeze
Any other girl would just have her hair fly and say “oh jeeze”
All time I’ve spent with you is so dear

So today I’ve got the courage to say
This is going to be the day
The decision has been made
Before I was too afraid
My fear got the better of me and made me trip
But now I’m free and the word rests between the ends of my lip
