well...self studying is great...but the problem is with that is that you dont have any recognised qualifications...which can be a bit of a pain if you want to make a career in Islam...like teaching or something

Aalimah/Alim course are quite good coz you learn a wide range about everything...like Hadith...Seerah...History...Tajweed...the whole package in 1 really

but you should do a little research on how long the course is, obvioulsy the longer the course...the more in depth you go, and the more you learn...

i think some places do 2 years...and a couple do 7 years...well to my knowledge anyway...

and sometimes you get a knack feeleing dont you? like "i want to go to Nottingham" but then you dont really know why...it could be Huda from Allah...or maybe she's being stubborn :mmokay:

:X Stubburn it is then.

:exhausted Her mom thinks there are better teachers there, but when i asked her if she visited the place she said no. She has a very basic level of knowlege on Islam i don't want her to get jumped at with loadsa hadiths get me?

If she stayed closer to home she can take it step at a time, continuing her studies and going to the madrassah in the afternoon, like bro <Abdullah> said. :D

AsalmuAlaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Blackburn Madrassah :enough!:

sorry bro...but there is 1 that i was gonna go to...the 1 mentioned above...its just off whalley range...and you can choose wether you want to live there...or if you want to go home everyday...they do both boarding and non boarding...

and unless im very much mistaken, and im not willing to bet against it...its a mixed...college, i.e. both male and female

^but dont quote me on that :X

:sl:
boys AND girls?
in blackburn? off whalley range?
whereeeeeeee :hmm:

oh man i said dont quote me on that bit ----> boys AND girls? :exhausted

erm...well do you know brookhouse lane? go the bottom of that...so you are near Perry's Peugot place...go past that...then you go like right...past Daisyfield swimmin pools...then go on a bit...then turn right up this street which i have forgotton the name and it should come into view...

er...if you seriously want to know where it is ill try and pull a map up

:sl:

oh moss street? college of knowledge and guidance. two massive buildings?
definitely male only

:sl:

Yes! so how much were you willing to bet? :statisfie i take cash/cheque/postal order or credit card.

Any ideas on self study? instead of going to madrassah studying on your own? :-[ She want's to go to Nottingham. I asked her why she wanted to go and why she preferred going there she said 'i duno' :rollseyes

What do you learn during an Alimah course? Jo? anyone?
I'm not sure what you learn in an aalimah course cos i'm not female :|

But from the male ones you do arabic, usool, fiqh, aqeedah, tafsir, etc

Alhamdhulillah!

AsalamuAlaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh btw :D

I just want to know about the course?

What you learn?

Who teaches you ?

Is it reliable?

I don't want my niece to go in as a Muslim and come out as a Sufi (no offence to sufi's) :offended:

Do you enjoy it?

Would you think it is too much for an 11 year old? or dya have time to chillax?

Thanks sis.

JazakAllah khair, I'm sure it is similar.

sorry for the latest reply on earth okay you're probably not interested anymore but i'll tell you anyway

there's a 7 year course for the kids 11+ and a 3 year course for the 16+'s.
we learn a lot of things well the common arabic [including nahw and sarf [arabic grammer]], fiqh, Hadith, Quran Tafseer[including translation], Quran Studies[tajweed], Usool [ yr 11's+ learn from Akram Nadawi he comes in about twice a month but so far he's been on holiday], Urdu [for the Pakistanis] and Bengali [for the bengalis], Islamic History, 16+'s also have to do R.E, Arabic GCSE, and Aranbic A.S, the kids do the normal curriculum subjects including the arabic and R.E,

Women teach us once the 7 yr kids have reached their 5th year and the 16+s in their last year study with the Principal[ yr 11's and 16+3 = Mishkat - yr 12 and 13 + 16+3 =Sahih Sitta but we dnt complete all of it just certain chapters]

is what reliable?

Its okay i enjoy it especially the fact i'm graduating this year and getting outa there.

and sufis are muslims just wanted to note that.
