can you make dua to marry a specific person ?

i wanted to know how to make dua ?

when reading dua after praying do you think and put the person in your mind when asking allah to marry him/her or whatever help you want of allah

Waleikum Salaam.

As a Muslim, you should learn and make the best effort to trust Allah in all matters. What you think is good for you may not be so, only Allah knows. Instead of asking to marry a certain person, you should ask Allah to let you marry the person who is good for you, good for your deen. Someone who will hold your hand to Jannah. If you want to mention the person in your dua it is up to you, just make sure you remember and acknowledge during your dua that Allah knows what you don't and pray that if this person you want is no good for you, that Allah find someone better for you, and if that person is good for you, to make it easy for marriage.
