I realised when Malays marry other people you can hardly see the malay in them. And i dont know why malays look so chinese either...My cousins..you should see them. Some of them you wouldnt know they were malay.

Who says Malays look like Chinese? They look like Asians that's all. You can tell a Malay person from a Chinese person Anyday.

For me, the Malaysian Malays ARE NOT THE ACTUAL Malays.

The Peninsula original inhabitants (The Orang Asli) migrated from Yunnan Province in China.... they live in the forest and hunting for food

Later, came another wave of more advance people from Yunnan cultivating the land and catching the fish etc.

As the Peninsula (From Thailand to Singapore) is situated in the middle of the sea-route between China and India it's the most ideal place where both people could meet and sell their goods. Of course the Chinese and Indian would intermarried each others (Even today, if a Chinese married an indian their offsprings would look like the Malays). The people became adherents of Hindu-Buddhism.

Later, the a powerful kingdom was found in Ayyuthaya (Thailand) and managed to rule from Yunnan in the North to Singapore in the South and called their Kingdom as Siam. So, all of the people living in the peninsula were Siamese.

When a Malay prince from Sumatra, Parameswara ran to Singapore (Temasek) he killed the Thai Governor name Temagi there... later he established a new place called Malacca with the helps of Orang Laut from Sumatra.

After Parameswara embraced Islam, the whole population of the Peninsula left Hinduism-Buddhism to be Muslims. as Islam was preached in Malay Language, the ex-Siamese adapted the language and the culture and became "the Malays".

For the Thais, the Malaysian Malays are Siamese people who have been Malayanized.

Many of the Malays in the States of Kelantan and Terengganu also in the District of Pendang (in Kedah) are just like the Chinese physically.

Great lah.

Yes thats' why I'm saying, tak ada salahnya you look Malay or not, Mata sepet ke mata tak sepet ke, it doesn't matter in the least.

Biasa la tu... saya masa zaman sekolah dulu (takde misai dan janggut), bila jalan-jalan kat Georgetown tu, orang-orang Cina selalu tegur saya dengan Bahasa Hokkien. Mak saya ajar, kalau orang cakap Cina dengan kita kena jawab "Hokkien Wa Boh Chai" ("saya tak tau Hokkien").
