Malay Language for beginners....

It was a great idea to build the mosque near to the lake. Contempletion in a sacre building. I could sit there without problems.:sunny:

we called those mosques as "floating mosques" I've been to 4 of those mosques:

1) Putrajaya Mosque, Putrajaya
2) Floating Mosque of Kuala Ibai, Terengganu
3) Floating Mosque of Tanjung Bungah, Penang
4) Floating Mosque of Tanjung Dawai, Kedah...

In my country we don't have floating churches but i hope in time they will think to make at least one.

Naudhubillah....:( macam mane boleh jadi gitu?

ye, lah! kalau nanti saya ada soalan, saya tanya lagi kat sini (again...is this rite:P i have been working hard on asyur's malaysian comics to comprehend all of the slangs..hehehe)

-apa pasal brother nm buleh cakap betawi? sapa dah ajar?
-asyur buleh cakap malay pasal dia punya istri tu awek KL.

well, any correction?

Why malay language there is a slang at the end of sentence. for eg
makan lah dulu- eat first, tak nak lah - dont want. sometimes its hard to make sense of all these.

sometimes ppl use fed up lah. Mix of english and malay +o( :rollseyes :?

for Makanlah dulu is correct for "speach" sentence.

If you use the word Makan dulu it sounds like commanding to the other person. Adding 'lah' behind sounds more 'manja' or polite, eventhough some of it is grammatically in correct.

For the mix of english and malay word, english has already been part of our language since the day British come to Malaysia. Even the kelantanese language contain english word. However not just english we have other languages mix too for example arabic.

But i'm not going to deny that there are some people who are too lazy to make full sentences in english or in bm.

It's intended to be a thread teaching non-Malay speakers to learn Malay Language....

But for centuries this thread had been hijacked by ermmm... all of us (yeah, including me) by making it a thread for Malay speakers to speak in Malay (well... in varieties of Malay)...

Why it's mixed with English and Malay (ie. Bahasa Rojak)?
I think it's the reality here in Malaysia where almost all of us speak in Bahasa Rojak...
