Marriage (Theorectical Question)

Theorectical question.

If a woman is is on her deen but doesnt have the finacial means or the family too help out, do you still marry her?

- The man has a big family, the woman has very few.
- The woman would marry him in a book store feesibillah, but the man wants too show off.
 
You don't really need money to get married. some of the sahabas married by giving their wives just a date as a wedding gift. This isn't to say that you should run off and get married and both live on the streets. The guy should have financial means of some sort to be able to support himself and his wife. The wife doesn't necessarily need any financial means as that is not her responsibility. Best place to marry would be in the masjid, do the nikkah there and then your celebration ceremony can be done any where. In this the two sides can decide how they want to do it and reach a compromise if they differ.
 
If a man is fortunate enough to find a woman to marry who is on her Deen, he should definitely marry her, as that will be a blessing for them both. The wife doesn't need to be rich or come from a rich background. Providing for the family is the duty of the husband. The husband is to take care of and protect the wife.

Marriage is best performed in the Masjid, but it can be performed anywhere, even at home.

That are my thoughts too, I don't feel you have too show off your wealth and what you have.
 
Unfortunately, in many Muslim countries, large, grand weddings which cost tens of thousands are more the norm than not.

It's so disappointing to see the pressures which culture has created and society puts upon people, weddings these days are more or less a status symbol. Many put off marriage simple because they can no longer afford it. Islam has made such things easier for people, not difficult.

What matters in both a man and a woman is character and piety, then everything will more or less build itself together, as both spouses understand and fulfil their rights and responsibilities towards one another, inshaAllah. :)

It really is sad, it should be fesibillah no matter what the financial or family situation but your right character and piety is key :)
