Mass attack from pack of jinns

Assalamu alaikum,

It has been slightly over 2 years that I have started taking the deen seriously, praying 5 times a day with sunnah prayer, reading Qur'an and tafsir etc. Since then I have been haunted by a pack of jinns. I know jinn stories are rather too common in our society but mine has a different twist. 1) It is immune to ruqya, 2) While jinns show up in others while they are deviated from the right path and upon returning to the correct path they disappear, mine have been getting strong as I have held strong to the Qur'an and sunnah. 3) While in others the jinn merely confuse them with physicial or mental illness mine seems to only be keen on torturing me through display of more complicated and intricated magic that has taken my life into a plunge where I cannot work, and losing my health rapidly (ie fulfilling shaitan's ultimate goal to make life miserable in this life and for the hereafter).

So I know its a pack of jinn because there is always one inside me that is magnifying my emotions of fear+ hatred towards an external action by another person and then there is all around me affected by 'magic' where the jin gives them wasawa to say or do something that it knows from its companion inside me that it is something I hate/fear. And then there is the auditory hallucinations of car horns, other sounds that annoy specially given the magnitude its amplified to by the jinn inside. And this is not just limited to 2 people. Sometimes I will be on a highway and the entire row of cars will snow down to a snail pace near a building or an exit that the jinn wants me to take. How does the jinn communicate you may ask? It produces a stimulus that I know comes from it (eg horn, physicial tap on shoulder/vibrations/feeling of getting hot quickly) just when it wants to get my attention.

Then there are the other physical tortures it carries out through my surroundings. Basically it just surprises me with new tricks everyday so I cannot learn how it operates and all my day is used up to avoid it. However, I cannot avoid it because the one inside me will simply magnify the terrors within. I have tried contacting various religious scholars however they have all backed out and Im guessing they have no clue. This jinn has performed so much magic that I had been forced to look into religious books to find an answer why is my jinn different than others. Ive finished Ibne Kathir on the parts relating to shaytan and jinn, various translations of Qur'an, hadiths, seraah of RasulAllah (sallAllallah alay his salam), his favorite companions eg Khulafa Rashidun, some of the ashara Mubasher, and even the history of previous generations eg the story behind Surah Fiil. However, since I am not a Qur'anic scholar I do not understand all the meaning of Surah's completely (that is beyond the first meaning) eg Kaaf, Qaf, Humazaah, Mudathir/Muzammil, Naas, Ikhlas, and probably some of Falaaq too (eg why is the blower of knot a female magician and not male in tafsir). Can anyone advice me on how to get rid of this disease? Ive constantly consuming sunnah food such as dates, honey etc as well as zam zam water. There is no haraam income in my household.

Have you seen a psychiatrist or your doctor?

Another way to beat mental illness is to ignore all abnormal impulses just like one would ignore waswas and try your best to act normal

I am a physician by profession, and during undergrad I had taken a plethora of subjects, some of them were psychology. I understand your suspicion, given that majority of the so called 'jinn possession cases' are actually organic or physiologic in nature that can be easily treated with medicine, but this is not such a case. Given the duration of the suffering, I could probably write a book on the symptoms, both typical and atypical and what I have done to counter the attacks from making me majnun (covered by jinn/insanity) but what I've described is the overall gist.

In addition, Sihr/jinn phenomenon is not the same as shaitan's general wasawas. Wasasa is just a whispering into the human brain which the victim's brain often mistakes as his own thoughts, but jinns can input stimulus into your brain which you recieve as fake perception (eg sound, vision, thoughts) and in essence they can mimic any real diseases (psychatric eg schizophrenia or others eg seizure, bowel upset, headaches, localised pain on the body etc). In some cases they can also stimulate the neuronal pathway involved in motor movement causing your limbs to jerk or move 'on their command'.

None of the above can be ignored. But Alhamdulillah they all serve as nuisance and psychological torture as they are unable to cause actual bodily injury such as one driving off the cliff.

Brother I do believe it is the lack of knowledge about jinns and assumptions about them that has caused your problems.

How would you know there is a jinn outside ordering the one inside to do this and that?, jinns are invisible creatures so there is no way you can know. You are assuming it all.

The one inside you can only grow strong and mess you about more if you allow it and you are being overly susceptible to it's waswas and allowing it.

How would jinns make cars go in a specific way to force you to make a turning? You're not suggesting they have control over all the drivers? So this is a hallucination or false assumption on your part.

Best is to treat All your assumptions as waswas that you have to ignore and in time these thoughts should vanish and you'll only get normal waswas like other people

There is a chance that you're suffering from someone doing black majic on you (jinns do not pick a person to do majic on them, some human has to summon the jinn to do it) and in this case seek out a raqi brother and InshAllah you will b3 cured

More you are trying to research into it, more vulnerable you are getting.
You need solid ground to stay on.
Make it as simple as you can.
Make your life as stable as possible, just ignore all this jinn staff. Follow basic schedule, sleep, eat, pray, do what you need to keep life sustainable, only reasonable logical things. Like, if someone would ask you why you did so and so, you'll have a simple answer. If you feel bored, that's great, stick to the boredom, embrace silence in your mind.

I totally understood your situation and very few will comprehend it as you can see from the comments above. This is what the world calls "paranormal activities" and how can the normal people understand paranormal things?
You are doing something or have done something, which they don't like (living around you). They are Muslims too. Don't concentrate on them for everything. Try to be in your normal routine. Don't think about them too much and don't discuss about them for they don't like it ever to be discussed. Whenever you want to recite the Quran, try to recite it in the presence of other people instead of being alone for some time.
Now, things will get normal for you and they will not torture you that way as you mentioned, in sha Allah.

I agree with you and I do want to kindly point out that its not important what I perceive since its gayeb and I can never know whats the truth 100%.
Whats important is the suffering.

I have been told to avoid it (all the torture) but every time my response is how can you ignore someone invisible holding a gun to your head 24/7 (its effect is on the brain). To make things worse, it will not allow you do die but insist on slow and painful suffering. I like your suggestion that it might be sihr and have been researching on what the scholars have said about curing it. But I have not been fortunate to find many useful books on this. It feels almost like the jinns have surrounded me completely and cut off all ties to the external world but unfortunately for them I have not become hopeless in the mercy of Allah and hence why I am here.

This infact is the first ayah of the Qur'an (besides Ayatul Qursi) that gave me temporary relief from the evil of jinn/magic. I take full blame for not having memorized the full ayah yet (looks at floor with guilt). I have however memorized a bit of As-Saffat (the first few ayahs). While reciting the 3 Qul it feels like there is a hurricane inside me but I ofcourse never surrender and never will, in sha Allah.

Brother I think it's more likely that you have allowed waswas to get too much out of hand thus too extreme and you are suffering as a result, as it all started soon as you started practicing Islam right?

It's true that the more religious a Muslim gets the more waswas increases including the number of jinns assigned to a Muslim who sets out to seek knowledge, a bit like when maradonna used to get the ball, several opposition players used to surround him.

However you havnt been able to deal with the waswas and now because waswas occupies your thoughts and feelings rather than zikr; this is why you're suffering as anything removed from zikr is cursed

Try this methodology and 'ruqya' on yourself, always remain in zikr as much as you can. The mind cannot be occupied with 2 things at the same time so if you remain in zikr either with your tongue, humming or in your mind/heart, those awful fears and thoughts will stay away

Also read the Quran a lot too; Allah's speech has the power to get rid of jinns and sihr

If jinns had such power to mess with people like this then surely they would have done it to every single practicing Muslim to achieve their goal of pushing them away from the path of deen?

So brother Since you're a physician then I'm sure that should conclude in the clear logical evidences that this problem is of your Imagination rather than there really being a pack of jinns behind it :Emoji3:

I have seen this before with another muslim, she was forever obsessed with researching jinn and it fed the jinns love of her. the jinn will not go away until you ignore it and focus on Allah. Maybe you are just obsessed a little bit with Jinns. They are going to fall in love with you and never leave you. Think about it. Jinn are invisible and can do almost anything around us without us knowing. they can fall in love with us even and bind themselves to us forever....they are very dangerous. do not give them time from you life. just know the basic about htem to protect yourself and leave the rest to Allah swt.
You may be being tested because of your intelligence and Allah wants you to devote more time and brainpower to godly works. like learning Fusha Arabic,studying Quran...if you were a doctor then you are obviously very intelligent. Why do you not invest in islamic higher studies?? you seem to like to research. what is better then research in the deen?

Thank you for all your suggestion and comments. I've grown very weary of this "magic" on me. I had stopped doing research on jinn. However, it/they seems to get stronger day by day. My dhikr (in acts and mind) has not declined however they are evolving, at quite a dangerous pace. Can anyone suggest a raqi/scholar/individual who I can speak to who can verify what I'm doing wrong (ie the calculation in my mind thats making them stronger by increasing this illusion of their power in my mind). The main objective of these jinn(s) is to isolate me from society, make me mentally handicapped and hope I kill myself out of frustration. I am not willing to undergo ruqya by someone else, and I do ruqya on myself several times a day, since there is a hadith in Bukhari book of medicine that states those who seek Ruqya (from others) or believe in bad/(bad) omen will be left out from the group of people who enter jannah from the Ummah of RasulAllah (sallAllah alayhis salam) without questioning. I apologise in advance if I didnt translate that hadith properly.

Just because there is no medical cure yet doesn't mean that it isn't a physical/ Psychological problem. people have all sorts of physical/psychological problems that medical research hasn't been able to tackle - this does not mean that Jinns are tormenting you. You might want to see a psychologist for further diagnosis.

I know jinn stories are rather too common in our society but mine has a different twist. 1) It is immune to ruqya, 2) While jinns show up in others while they are deviated from the right path and upon returning to the correct path they disappear, mine have been getting strong as I have held strong to the Qur'an and sunnah. 3) While in others the jinn merely confuse them with physicial or mental illness mine seems to only be keen on torturing me through display of more complicated and intricated magic that has taken my life into a plunge where I cannot work, and losing my health rapidly (ie fulfilling shaitan's ultimate goal to make life miserable in this life and for the hereafter).

So I know its a pack of jinn because there is always one inside me that is magnifying my emotions of fear+ hatred towards an external action by another person and then there is all around me affected by 'magic' where the jin gives them wasawa to say or do something that it knows from its companion inside me that it is something I hate/fear. And then there is the auditory hallucinations of car horns, other sounds that annoy specially given the magnitude its amplified to by the jinn inside. And this is not just limited to 2 people. Sometimes I will be on a highway and the entire row of cars will snow down to a snail pace near a building or an exit that the jinn wants me to take. How does the jinn communicate you may ask? It produces a stimulus that I know comes from it (eg horn, physicial tap on shoulder/vibrations/feeling of getting hot quickly) just when it wants to get my attention.

Then there are the other physical tortures it carries out through my surroundings. Basically it just surprises me with new tricks everyday so I cannot learn how it operates and all my day is used up to avoid it. However, I cannot avoid it because the one inside me will simply magnify the terrors within. I have tried contacting various religious scholars however they have all backed out and Im guessing they have no clue. This jinn has performed so much magic that I had been forced to look into religious books to find an answer why is my jinn different than others. Ive finished Ibne Kathir on the parts relating to shaytan and jinn, various translations of Qur'an, hadiths, seraah of RasulAllah (sallAllallah alay his salam), his favorite companions eg Khulafa Rashidun, some of the ashara Mubasher, and even the history of previous generations eg the story behind Surah Fiil. However, since I am not a Qur'anic scholar I do not understand all the meaning of Surah's completely (that is beyond the first meaning) eg Kaaf, Qaf, Humazaah, Mudathir/Muzammil, Naas, Ikhlas, and probably some of Falaaq too (eg why is the blower of knot a female magician and not male in tafsir). Can anyone advice me on how to get rid of this disease? Ive constantly consuming sunnah food such as dates, honey etc as well as zam zam water. There is no haraam income in my household.

yeah that sounds bad, basically..

something you do, personally.. old habits, new habits.. is letting "jinn" into you.

thats the hardest thing to admit, and sometimes the compulsion to do these things is so engrained into us that its hard to even think it bad or to stop.

and the worst thing is that even if you do correct yourself, the feeling of loss of freedom or intrusion by others.. real or imaginary.. may not go away.

simply because a seen and unseen world will always exist.

but your at a point where what you seek is a clear concience and where you want to be guided is where you bloomin put into your sat nav!

and the only way is to rectify oneself.

its an amazing world lol, to truly appreciate it means removing fear or anger.. at a people who have no idea what they do.

..a lot of strong characters out there.. that understand the language they speak and the system they live in.

..or not.

you would be suprised to realise they are all human also.. honestly sometimes how we percieve ourselves and how the world percieves us are two different things..

anyway, the point is [-]that[/-] to achieve clarity of mind and thought.

if that varies with the things we do or the people we are with, then its something to learn from.

but it can get to a point where you start hating people.. simply because of the way they turn up in your life or how things unfold.

hate yourself.

not dont hate yourself, do hate yourself but admit your own faults and start making a change.

then one day, conversation and topic will not be so painful.. maybe even irrelevant.

Allah swt is the sustainer, the protector, the provider.. the creator.

It's ironic because in the absence of these intrusions you may think it harder for that to be seen and understood..

But Allah swt is just, so don't fear the attack..

Every battle is won and lost long before the battlefield is reached.

Wa 'alaykumassalaam, I am sharing some hadiths, including one about Ayatul Kursi that you mentioned - InshaAllah will help


Narrated Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever recites the last two Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah during the night, they shall suffice him." (Jami'at-Tirmidhi)

Narrated Abu Hurairah:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Do not turn your houses into graves. Indeed Ash-Shaitan does not enter the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is recited."(Jami'at-Tirmidhi)


Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said," Whoever says: "La ilaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahul- hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir," one hundred times will get the same reward as given for manumitting ten slaves; and one hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Satan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he." (Sahih al Bukhari)

====Try say the above adhkar 100 times after salah Fajar and Maghrib


It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
“A scorpion stung a man and he did not sleep all the night. It was said to the Prophet (ﷺ): ‘So- and-so was stung by a scorpion and he did not sleep all the night.’ He said: ‘If he had said, last night: A’udhu bikalimatil-lahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq (I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created), the scorpion sting would not have harmed him, until morning.’” (Sunan Ibn Majah)

====You can say this dua for protection from jinns because they are also Allah's creations.


Also this dua to seek refuge from evil : Rabbi auzu bika min hamazati’sh-Shayatin wa auzu bika Rabbi an yahdurun (23:97-98)


Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya ibn Said said that he had heard that Khalid ibn al-Walid said to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "I have nightmares." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him, "Say, 'I seek refuge with the complete words of Allah from His anger and His punishment and the evil of His slaves, and from the evil suggestions of the shayatin and from their being present (at death).' "
Audhu bi kalimati' llahi't-tammati min ghadabihi wa iqabihi wa sharri ibadihi wa min hamazati' sh-shayatin wa an yahdurun. (Muwatta Malik)


Aban bin `Uthman said:
“I heard `Uthman bin `Affan (ra) saying: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no worshiper who says, in the morning of every day, and the evening of every night: ‘In the Name of Allah, who with His Name, nothing in the earth or the heavens can cause harm, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing (Bismillāh, alladhi lā yaḍurru ma`a ismihi shai'un fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samā', wa huwas-Samī`ul `Alīm)’ – three times, (except that) nothing shall harm him.” And Aban had been stricken with a type of semi-paralysis, so a man began to look at him, so Aban said to him, “What are you looking at? Indeed the Hadith is as I reported it to you, but I did not say it one day, so Allah brought about His decree upon me.” (Jami'at-Tirmidhi)

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing from the foodstuff. I caught him and said, "I will take you to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)!" Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said: That person said (to me), "(Please don't take me to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you.) When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn." (When the Prophet (ﷺ) heard the story) he said (to me), "He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was Satan." (Sahih al Bukhari)

Narrated 'Aisha:

Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times. (Sahih al Bukhari)


Take good care of your physical health too, Alhamdulillah as a physician you have sufficient knowledge on how to do this.

You are going to have to keep up the fight on all fronts, don't give up. May Allah make it easy for you.

Thank you for all your suggestion and comments. I've grown very weary of this "magic" on me. I had stopped doing research on jinn. However, it/they seems to get stronger day by day. My dhikr (in acts and mind) has not declined however they are evolving, at quite a dangerous pace. Can anyone suggest a raqi/scholar/individual who I can speak to who can verify what I'm doing wrong (ie the calculation in my mind thats making them stronger by increasing this illusion of their power in my mind). The main objective of these jinn(s) is to isolate me from society, make me mentally handicapped and hope I kill myself out of frustration. I am not willing to undergo ruqya by someone else, and I do ruqya on myself several times a day, since there is a hadith in Bukhari book of medicine that states those who seek Ruqya (from others) or believe in bad/(bad) omen will be left out from the group of people who enter jannah from the Ummah of RasulAllah (sallAllah alayhis salam) without questioning. I apologise in advance if I didnt translate that hadith properly.

Peace will calm your mind from these awful illusions. Do lots of durood brother when we do durood on Prophet (saw), the angels invoke durood on us so that way we get peace in us

Also, durood is a much loved worship by Allah, this could make Allah cast away all demons, real and imaginary. Listen to this durood nasheed often :
