Just wanted to ask, does anyone have any C2 past papers? and S1? I've got the solomon ones, but I need the past papers.

Jazakumullahukhairan!

:w:

If you want Edexcel ones, just check the studentroom. Simply because I'm too lazy to scan all the ones I have from last year and post them up.

I don't know how to get the Surface area and volume of the following:pyrimads, prisms, triangle, circle, sphere, square and rectangle. Any help will be appreciated jazakAllah.

ok

Areas
triangle : Area 1/2 * base * height
pyramid/prism : Sum of surface areas
circle : pi*r^2
sphere : 4*pi*r^2
rectangle : l*b
square : l^2

I'm having difficulties understanding the domain and range with any function of x. Explain?

Domain : is the set of values of x over which the function is "defined".

example : A function can be "defined" only for positive values on the real line like the ln(x) function, so this function is by definition undefined for -ve values. Note : we define the function as we please. Therefore in this case the domain is X>0.

Range : All possible values of y that result from substituting all values of x from within the domain of the function.
example : the sin(x) function can take only values between -1 and 1.

Let me just take this opportunity to state how much I loathe math. And how I loathe calculus even more.

I'm having trouble with integration and implicit differentiation.. Anyone got any online sources that can explain them both really well?

=) He goes all the way up to Calculus 3 and Linear Algebra

^Jazakum Allah khair sis transition? and brother Saifur-Rahman, those links look great.. InshaAllah I'll read them and if I still don't get it, ask some more questions on here.

Thing with implicit differentiation is, I think I get it, but then I solve a bunch of questions, and every single one is wrong...:><:
