maybe we should do something a little more advanced![]()
sorry..my bad..i get it now!Hi, anyone heard of the 24 number game. We used to play it in high school
Basically it works like this, you have 4 numbers from 1-9, and from those four numbers you have to make 24. You have to use all the numbers, and each number can be used once only. You can add, subtract, divide, or multiply
For example the four numbers can be
9 3 6 2
To make 24 from the above numbers, one method is
9/3 = 3
6+2 = 8
8*3= 24
Understand? remember you have to use all the numbers
Anyway i'll start off
2 7 4 8
Salaam.
Rather than 24, give another number which will have to be made with a few other numbers - more or less than 4.
Salaam.
No, I think the number to make should differ each time. People give their own numbers to make, and with them give them a set of numbers to make the number with.
To make it reasonable, and somewhat a challenge, the number to make should be <100 and the numbers to make the number with can be no more than 6.
no, because i cudnt get the answer, v were supposed to post the numbers for which v know the answers ourselves.
n i thot u mean she was unfair coz u were unable to get a clear answer like me. Didnt NOTICE anything...
khair... i deleted the [23]offtopic posts, lets be more lenient & respectful towards fellow members.
how about using PEMDAS? lol... using perenthesis and exponents too.. and a number given can be an exponent (i.e. 1 2 3 4... the "3" can be an exponent: ex. two to the third power... 2^3)
and uhh.. maybe more than 4 digits this time? i dunno
ermmm....uh...not all of us here do dat kind of high level maths :-[

Salaam.
And now that you have deleted the posts Zak, our liar here can get away clean. Oh well, one day she'll learn how to tell the truth, may God help her in her speech.
Anyway, I'm in the process of getting a nice difficult maths puzzle for y'all to try. How about getting this topic renamed to 'maths puzzles'?
