May I Use a Tasbeeh to Count On?

Hi!
I ordered some natural, 12 mm, wooden beads for making a Tasbeeh.
I see at as a tool, or abacus, and as nothing else. I indeed do not have 100 fingers. And I do like hobby projects.

Most Websites or AI, report they are OK, and that the major four Islamic schools are not against them. But the Salafists are against them.

WikiHow, went on to say that the first one was used by the daughter of the Prophet — peace be upon them both — for praying dhikr on 100 knots.

Regrettably, my very conservative Sunni daughter (24), sees them as an 'innovation', thereby shirk. She also went on to say, that this story about 100 knots was 'some sort of Shiite legend.'

Of course, the printed book , internet, computers, AI, SmartPhones, and so forth are indeed all very helpful innovations.

What are your opinions on this matter?

Here is my completed Abacus, or Tasbeeh, if that is allowed. I used natural, varnished beads, made of German Boxwood (Buche). It indeed has a nice feel, looks masculine, but the brown, cotton cord had I ordered was too thick. So, being from the electrical or electronics trade, I ended up using white, insulated, 50mm2 hook-up instead. Well, it is a bit stiff, but it still goes OK.

Here is my tasbeeh completed.
This time on cotton string with two small green beads between each set, which can be felt at night.

The beads are Boxwood (Buche) from Germany, which is sort of a 'cousin' to Oak.

It starts out after that very old bead (which is a bit larger), then it has an extra bead only as a marker to say: 'please start on this side', plus two smaller marker beads, then another 33 beads, plus two green markers, then 33 beads, two green markers, and then the last set of 34. It ends with two green markers, and then you are back to that very old bead, which is a bit larger.

The extra beads in there balance it out symmetrically, for a better appearance. The tail was made from scraps of string, plus some other old beads above it.
