My family is so poor I can not afford to go to Juma prayers?

My mother makes around 100,000 dollars a year. Trump's new tax cuts drastically cut taxes. She even has my sister and her husband, her sister (my aunt) and her husband as a backup. But we have so many expenses such as taking care of people in Turkey in our family impacted by the purges of President Erdogan, in addition to poor people, and my divorced father contributes $0.00 to my brother and I, and of course nothing to my sister because she's not his daughter after divorce (we're half siblings). And my healthcare and therapy costs, and my medication, and my using electronic taxi (not gonna name service for fear of MIT agents on here, it's common where I live) for school, and food, and the cars constantly breaking, my mother is broke. I once went to a faraway masjid, with an office, and I got angry and was gonna give a donation, but instead said I was boycotting them and left after insulting a janitor then weakly apologizing. then i left. then i told my mother i was coming back to apologize and do my prayers, she threatened to not come home from work if i went to prayers, but i went anyway, and apologized more fully, in addition to the other(s). she now says I can only go to a masjid closerby with people i am not familiar with, and outside our jamaat, and I have to walk, when i have zero sense of direction, weak body, weak mind due to medicine i am taking, etc. i am definitely DEFINITELY starting to read surat al waqiah every night. no salafi can convince me otherwise that "albaani said its daeef"

I'm serious??????? Do you hve any idea how expensive health care is in this country? and not to mention I'm going to university without a scholarship, without financial aid (government loans) this semester, which is also expensive? where do you live, bro, turkey? i live in a metropolitan area, cost of living is higher. EDIT: also, i understand if you live in turkey the currency crisis may make you view the dollar with grandeur or suspicion, but even here the dollar is not all its made out to be. EDIT: And not to mention my sister just had a baby.

if you are capable to go to university, what prevents you to also take a part-time job to ease your family's financial burdens, or at least to cover your personal smaller expenses, such as transportation? Unemployment rates are very low in the US as far as i know (4%? ), so there is opportunity in the job market...

you have your own money to give away as a sadaqa, but don't have money for covering public transport?

If there is a masjid in walking distance, then go there, if you have problems with navigating, there are smart phone apps helping in this, aren't there? What is the exact problem with going to a new masjid, unknown community? Just use basic manners, greeting them with salam, thats all, it works with all jamaats in my experience. If you have temperament issues, try to focus on it especially strongly why you are there in the first place (ibadet). Better to remain silent, hold back your tongue than to insult or argue with others. Go there, listen to the khutba, perform the namaz, then go to your own business. Don't complicate it for yourself It is not like you have to chit-chat with people if you don't want to.


If you have serious health issues that prevent you to go to a mosque, then you have a legitimate reason not to attend, it is not compulsory for you in that case... but i think first you should sort it out yourself what is the real problem what you want to overcome, financial, geographic distance, health condition?

I can't get a job due to autism and other disabilities such as borderline personality disorder, physical weakness, ADHD, and anxiety. as well as a sex offense which was only shared with psychiatrists and therapists (no zina or sexual activity or actual harming people, but.....anyway, can';t share it....let's just say im in deep and expensive
therapy now). and i cant drive due to autism affecting my motor functioning. oh, and depression, and multiple meds. but, hey, i'm in community college and will likely transfer to 4-year campus!) im working on getting an economics degree. ill likely get a job as a data entry clerk or office clerk or something through disability services, known as vocational assistance or vocational rehabilitation here. i didnt give money, i gave old possesions, brother. and i can't walk that far, im physically weak. and jamaat problems are not the issue due to politics, it's just that il miss everyone i used to know. but thank you brother EDIT: But luckily I may have someone to drive me, because I believe one brother goes there each week or could, and if not do I have an excuse?
