Through this poem, the poet reveals his intense love towards his mother. He praises her honestly because of her kindness shown to him until this day. He claims that she did everything to bring him up and she sufferered much for his well-being. When he was in her womb, she even gave up food and sleep for him. While an infant, he kicked her bosom and instead she fondled him. He passionately admits that it is because of the prayer of his mother that he would enter paradise.

My Mother, My Paradise
by Jaihoon

She served me until this day
Her love the sun, mine a ray

She lost sleep for me to dream
She left food, for me to be fed

Of mind and body she suffered
Her love grew as me she carried

I kicked at her bosom when an infant
Yet she fondled me without being hesitant

She inspired my legs and taught me to walk
All the words I pronounced listening to her talk

'Hasbi Rabbi' she sang in my ears, (such that)-
'Noor Muhammad' shone all these years
(sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)

All my acts of worship are but under her feet
Not two-
But three worlds I need to show her respect

If this son were to enter paradise
The warmth of her feet would be the cause

Her prayers for me are sincere than my own
She bore all the pain to see me so far grown

The pleasure of my Lord
Is in doing to her good

Even as I laid in her womb
Or be buried in the tomb-

She will continue to pour love
And pray for me forever…

If His Mercy is the entrance-
She is the key to my paradise!

Notes

Hasbi Rabbi : A lullaby common in the traditional Islamic world. (The full text goes as follows: Hasbi Rabbi jalla Allah/ ma fi qalbi ghairullah/ Noor Muhammadu sallallah/ la ilaha illallah)

subhanallah!!tht was real nice mashallah!!!!jazakallah for sharing!!inshallah we all are thankful also for all our mother has done for us and we know nothing we do can ever pay her back for what she has done for us and does for us.may Allah reward our mother abundantly....ameen!!!

Hasbi Rabbi jalla Allah
Ma fi qalbi ghairullah
Noor Muhammad sallallah
La ilaha illallah.

What is the meaning of this lullaby?
Doesn't the term 'Noor Muhammad sallallah' mean that Muhammad(sm) is made of light ? Is it not disputing the Quran?

Remeber what Allah says: Indeed We created you, then We fashioned you, then We asked the angels: "Prostrate yourselves before Adam." They all prostrated accordingly except Iblees (Shaitãn) who did not join those who prostrated.
