very nice paintings. indeed you have lots of talent. ma-sha-Allah! Artists sign their name on their paintings so you might want to do the same. I want to add that there's a hadith abuot not copying the creation of Allah. Although it's taken to mean not copying animate things ike animals and humans, but in the histroy of art it was written that early Muslims avoided making anything except designs and calligraphy and the first to draw plants and flowers were Turkish and Iranian people. So you might want to research this. A hadith says that the most severe punishment will be for the picture-maker.

yup Dear sister i worked on this before and as you said and according to scholars i came up with, hadith talking about punishment for picture/image maker refers to the pictures of animate beings. but this must be a reminder for me and every one as shaytan is always there to lead us astray. jazakAllahu khair . may Allah protect us all. ameen

Islamic Art & Calligraphy VIDEO

A lot of amazing work here, well done - i'm bumping this because I have something to share with you awesome peoples :)

Bismillah,

This took a long time to produce, but it was worth it!

Please leave us a LIKE :) and watch in HD in sha Allah!

Words are most beautiful, when they are from The Divine source - Al Quran. No matter how we try to paint them justice - we know we never truly can.

Yet, the pursuit of perfection sees many of us continue against the odds, furthering our innate desire to Glorify the Greatness of our Lord - Allah - wherever and however we can; in the most beautiful of ways.

Islamic Art & Calligraphy are appreciatively synonymous and this is particularly due to the close relationship between the two. This unique pairing is unlike any other, and remains a visual and linguistic representation of a duality magnifying the Singular - The One, Who alone is worthy of all worship! Allah (azza wa jal).

Thus, when Islamic Art is mentioned, one cannot help but also catch a glimpse of the flowing chicanes and brushed elegance of the Quranic Arabic script - when read, and understood - the layered meanings unfold in moments of deep contemplation, as the realisations of ultimate truths dawn upon one who appreciates the form, and now knows how to appreciate the inspirations behind its various manifestations...

...Inspired Art - for Inspired Muslims.

Special thanks to all the un-named artists who painted these works In Sha Allah.

Scimi

Re: Islamic Art & Calligraphy VIDEO

Assalaamu alaikum Scimi,

These are really beautiful paintings, and the video is well done, too (though a little less of the cloths at times would have been nice, so as to better see the pictures, I feel)!

(smile) Any way to get prints? Or use as wallpaper? Where did you find all these pictures (you mention un-named artists)? The video is a teaser-trailer! It would be lovely to be able to contemplate these paintings more carefully.

May Allah, the Magnificent One Who Loves Beauty, Reward all those who worship Him in beautiful ways.

Assalaamu alaikum Scimi,

Thank you for this. (smile) I did finally manage to figure out how to do this! (twinkle) with a little help from my IT people (aka, my children!).

BTW, my children were impressed with your video.

Jazakallah khairan.
