Anybody know anything about the history of north and central asia? Like pre-Russian Siberia, or the Turkic Tribes, or the Sycthians? We all know about the history of Europe, Asia and the Middle East, but what about these forgotten countries?

Any info will be appriciated!

Russia, or the land that is now called Russia, is made up of many different ethnicities. Everything from Slavs, Norse, Eskimos, etc. Russia is also the origin of many tribes that eventually moved southward. Including the Goths. Russia was really a large territory of many different principalities before the rise of Kiev and the invasion by the Golden Horde.

The Turkic tribes went to the west to find the red apple :D before Islam. After Islam they went to conquer those lands :)

It's origin is not very well known but probably it symbolized the wealth or the fruitfullness of the west. The turks were the owners of the east which is the holy and they believed that God/the sky God wanted them to take also the control of the west.

When you say "Turks" you are referring to those conquered by the Mongols and forced to fight for them?
