growing long nails is immitating kufar and also there is a hadith which says that they should not be kept uncut more than forty days if you give me some time i will find you the source and if it's sahih or not

Trimming the nails is from the prophetic traditions. The fuqaha explain that:

1. It is sunnah to trim them once every week, preferably before the Friday prayer.

2. To delay their trimming for 15 days is permissible,

3. After 15 days, i t becomes blameworthy and disliked.

4. To go beyond 40 days without trimming them is sinful .

She was on Ripley's believe it or not. She even cut her grandson's hair with those hands using scissors.

Like I said, she even cut her grandson's hair using scissors with those nails. No big deal for her. At all.

^ Yeah I remember seeing her on the guiness world record show years ago, she could do everything normally, like washing up and cooking.. though personally I would never eat anthing shes had her hands on!!!

You'll find that most of the non-muslims clip their nails completely and stick on fake ones.

Okay... But in the hadith, is the word trimming implied or is it some other word? Because trimming is usually cutting bits off. Small bits. Not a huge chunk. If that woman in the above pictures 'trims' her nails, she's still going to have enough left over to feed on for a lifetime.
