Netflix's 'Cuties' faces backlash for normalizing pedophilia, promoting Islamophobia

Feminism has lost its cause.. Everything is being done in the name of 'exploring ones feminity'. I dont know what's wrong with the west. They have mutilated the concept of equality with over-sexualisation of females and made them to believe that this is freedom/equality and anti patriarchy.
I dont blame many muslim women to dislike the patriarchal culture of their homeland. But we need to understand the difference between social norms, traditions and religion and islam. The thin line is blurred by these feminist propaganda who have distorted the freedom given to women by Islam.
If a girl wants to wear short clothes she can.. As long as it is not before namehram men etc.

Iam a feminist myself, but it pains me to see how the true sense of feminism is undermined by these movies and portrayal of girls and women at large.
I see in Pakistan cases of women being burned for not bringing enough dowry, getting acid thrown, getting married to thr quran so that the family won't have to give them their rightful share in inheritance or women becoming the sacrificial animal to absolve the male of their families of the crimes they have done.. Uneducated mullahs and muslim men defend it through fabricated islamic laws etc, and as a result women start to hate islam..


The same is the case shown in the movie(i think). She must hve been oppressed under the name of rligion so much that she ran away from it.. We need to teach our children the essence of islam, away from the patriarchal culture.

Netherflix promises to do a better job of hiding the pedo in the future:

Netflix apologized on Thursday for a movie poster it released depicting several pre-teen girls in sexually suggestive poses, claiming the promotion was not "representative" of the film.

The movie streaming movie platform received significant backlash on social mediaTuesday and Wednesday – after copies of the poster circulated. In it, four young girls are shown in crop tops and boy shorts. One girl is bending over, while another is squatting with her legs spread.

In a statement, Netflix said it was "deeply sorry" for the "inappropriate artwork" it used to promote the movie, a French film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. "It was not OK, nor was it representative of this French film," Netflix said. "We’ve now updated the pictures and description."

The company, on its streaming service, originally described the film as one in which the protagonist, 11-year-old Amy, "becomes fascinated with a twerking dance crew."

Twerking is a form of highly sexualized dancing originally popularized in the 1980s.

In the revised description, Netflix states that Amy in the film "starts to rebel against her conservative family's traditions when she becomes fascinated with a free-spirited dance crew."

Al-hamdillah I am single, not married and do not have children Phew! That is a burden off my shoulder...that being said...the responsibility of protecting the children from all of this goes on the mother. She have to make sure the children are raised correctly, she have to make sure they are taught proper Islamic teaching.
