NHS induction programmes are long-winded??? You must be mistaken, Tony! :D

I am sure you are glad to be back in the field of learning disability.
I wish I got to work more hands-on with service users, rather than write reports and fight for money ... :hmm:

Yes Glo its great, I considered completing my nursing but in the end I opted for this and will see what the options are. I really want to train for something to bring to the L.D. field but unsure what yet. Always used to enjoy childrens services, espescially Autistic spectrum and challenging behaviour. Who knows whats round the corner.:)

Jazak Allah Khair everyone who made dua, at my wotk there is a person who has been thinking of reverting to Islam, and not only will they allow me to pray salaat, but they are providing me a room specifically for that purpose and no other. And I will be key worker for some service users that have parental requests for a muslim key worker. Your duas are in action, may Allah grant you all blessings and peace during Ramadhaan, Ameen:D

Sounds like you are the right guy for the job, Tony! :)

I know from our own service that Muslim families are often wary of letting their learning disabled children attend our services - probably of fear that their religious needs will not be sufficiently met.
Having a Muslim amongst the staff team must help gain people's trust and confidence.

Alhumdulillah akhi. Glad to hear you like your new job. May Allah bless you in it and increase the barakah in your earnings. Ameen :)
