new to islamboard

assalamu alaykum.. my name is jennifer. i am currently a non-muslim, however i have been giving it serious thought and prayer for about a month now, and have been interested in islam for about 6 years. basically, i signed up to this website to get to know some muslims and hear their stories, and to become a part of this "family" of muslims that is ever-growing around the world. i have given thought of when/where/how/if i would take shahadah and it makes me really nervous, because being muslim is not just something you say.. its something you do, and not something to be taken lightly. and i want to be sure that when i say i am muslim, i am ready to be muslim. anyways, i hope that i can find more information on this site, and maybe even a few friends that can help me find my way to islam. thank you!
