New Upgrade - Ur thoughts?

at the end of each thread click on "Edit Tag" then you can tag it for searching on later

i stilll got quite a few small bits to sort out etc in terms of putting everything back to normal
 
^Right, i tried just adding a tag, "Invalid link please contact Administrator" or something, but i just tried to add text, it has to be a link?

Also, i noticed the boards a lot slower...This new vBulletin heavier than the last 1?
Also, are all the previous mods you installed still compatible with this 1, as well as the themes/skins..?

hmm nah just add text not links -

All previous mods well they seem to be working fine with this version likewise with the themes and skin to i still gotta sort out teh aria theme!

Server loads are a bit high at the moment problably cos backup maybe running

but ill keep an eye on it next few days inshallah if need be get a more faster server

Yeh tags work, i did the test...

Oh and Sajid, you know in the upgrade? It will of kept all your mods that you have made coz they have special programmes that can detect them right, so they know not to replace that bit of code in the upgrade.

But one problem you have is, it deleted all the manual code edits you did yourself. I dont know which Admin originally did it (Thank god they did) but they deleted all the Tables ( <tr> ) around the instant messaging tables in the memberprofile.php script.

So the problem that arises here, is people can enter their instant email adress, (MSN, Yahoo etc) and its viewable! Them tables are there!

you can see it in mine, (obviously i didnt enter my real one) but if you click into my profile, then into the Contact me tab, you'll see what i mean, has my fake MSN there.

Just thought id say that, you might have already realised :D

i seen my profile page and its looking good but i need to get used to some of the stuff

can any1 try and tell me why does this cross keep coming in my profile i want to remove them. this usually comes up if the image is not working. but i dont have an image
 
:sl: It's not really that bad, I'm kind of confused as to which features are still available and which aren't, but all in all alhamdulilah it's nice. :statisfie
 
it used to be, when you clicked on somebody's profile, you could see the threads they have posted in the past and all of their posts.
what happened to that feature?

It's still there. When you click on the member's username and it takes you to their public profile, there are tabs above the visitor message text box (the tabs are: visitor messages, About Me, Statistics, Friends, Contact Info) click on the tab that says "statistics" and you should see that feature there still.

before i use to think of LI as "simplicity at its best", now lol, thats out the window !

^At first bro, i thought that was harsh, now i agree.

hmmm, for other forums, i would say that the upgrade is ok, the new friends feature and stuff, but for LI, i preffer the old one, thinking about it. It felt better then.

Not just the look, but the whole feel of the board, now it feels a little more unclean, or is that just me...

i dont mind if u remove the friends list from the profile but i think that the album shoud stay it isnt going to effect any1
 
hmm well if u guys want album i can put it up ..i need to check out whether it will affect performance of the server though
