No khutbah

I prayed eid salat with my family but they didn't do khutbah. We did this because the only mosque in town was closed. Is my prayer invalid and if yes can I repray it?

How can the only mosque be closed? You need new management.

The khutbah of the eid prayer is optional, if you do not stay for it then it is fine.

The jummah prayer is also optional when if you attend eid prayer when eid is on a friday.
 
Walaykumsalam Idk mah dude the mosques were closed in the area we are visiting good to know khutbah is optional
 
they may have rented a larger space out for eid prayers, which is not that uncommon. Should've checked with them beforehand.
 
Yes, I can relate to that. Asked local masjid on FB page about when is eid prayer after ramadan, replied "should've came to the masjid for the announcement" and never gave an answer.
