I'm not big on the camera..but is Triband a good thing?

Tri band mobiles use three standard bands (frequencies). With a Triband phone, If you go to a region using this missing band, you will not be able to make or receive calls.

Quad band mobile use four standard bands (frequencies). Ideally, you'd want a phone that can work on all four bands - So the best is a Quad-band phone.

6500 is a Quadband.

Anyway, thats not a big deal, nothing is meant forever... They can be replaced at anytime.
