Not the UK... it's Saudi Arabia

Greetings,

A BRITISH Muslim school is teaching children that Jews are “repugnant apes” and Christians “pigs”, a former teacher claims.

Apes and pigs refers to a people who disobeyed Allaah, as the Qur'an mentions in a number of places, such as:

“Say: ‘O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do you criticize us for no other reason than that we believe in Allaah, and in (the Revelation) which has been sent down to us and in that which has been sent down before (us), and that most of you are Faasiqoon [rebellious and disobedient (to Allaah)]?’

Say (O Muhammad to the people of the Scripture): ‘Shall I inform you of something worse than that, regarding the recompense from Allaah: those (Jews) who incurred the Curse of Allaah and His Wrath, and those of whom (some) He transformed into monkeys and swines, and those who worshipped Taaghoot (false deities); such are worse in rank (on the Day of Resurrection in the Hell-fire), and far more astray from the Right Path (in the life of this world)’”
[al-Maa’idah 5:59-60]

And the story is explained in more detail here:

“And ask them (O Muhammad) about the town that was by the sea; when they transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. Saturday): when their fish came to them openly on the Sabbath day, and did not come to them on the day they had no Sabbath. Thus We made a trial of them, for they used to rebel against Allaah’s Command (disobey Allaah).
[al-A’raaf 7:163]

So perhaps someone caught a glimpse of the words "pigs" and "monkeys" in a textbook and jumped to the wrong conclusions. Islam clearly recognises that that not all Jews and Christians are the same, for Allaah (swt) has also said in the Qur'an:

Not all of them are alike; a party of the people of the Scripture stand for the right, they recite the Verses of Allâh during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves in prayer.
They believe in Allâh and the Last Day; they enjoin Al-Ma'rûf (Islâmic Monotheism, and following Prophet Muhammad
) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and opposing Prophet Muhammad
); and they hasten in (all) good works; and they are among the righteous.

And whatever good they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for Allâh knows well those who are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious).
[Aal-Imraan 3:113-115]

And if they would but truly observe the Torah and the Gospel and all [the revelation] that has been bestowed from on high upon them by their Sustainer, they would indeed partake of all the blessings of heaven and earth. Some of them do pursue a right course; but as for most of them -vile indeed is what they do!
[Al-Maa'idah 5:66]

Furthermore, there are many other verses that teach Muslims to be just towards others and there are teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) that teach respect for human life, regardless of religion.

Peace.
