LOL you guys actually did those things coool , back in the days we were collecting money from everyone :p

i remember all us kids used to collect our eid money and then compare our stash and then go buy toys, even your neighbours would give you eid money.
 
UK is a dead boring place every1 is down...i dont know what it is but everybody is stressed and sad....back home it was really cool....my sisters used to go to the park and i used to chill with friends and when we hear the adhan we used to go pray in the mosque close by....but in the uk every1 is inside their homes by 4pm its cold and dark....sittng down looking glum and stressed.. glued to the tv watching soap characters play out stressing roles...

When I was a kid I'd collect all my money and go buy them pink 2p chewing gums with the pink, blue and yellow wrapper ;D anybody remem them?
 
the one's with syrup inside?... after you chew it ...its got a sweet honey type thingy inside i dont know

lol yes the eid stash.. plus new clothes and toys.. sometimes I feel sorry for my nieces and nephews not really enjoying eid as I did .. we had a large extended family.. but many of them passed away since and before the new kids could see and enjoy them.. the larger the family and neighbors the huger the stash.. plus they has those traveling caravans that would go from neighborhood to neighborhood with bizarre looking 'rababas' musical instruments made out of cheap wood and swings and all sorts of stuff---
yes little bombs too-- it was amazing :sigh: those were good times..
