You could still enter. If you've got your entry finished before the deadline and before you go on holiday just give it to the competition adjudicator. Alternatively, we could just change the start date. It is tentative after all.

As far as languages go, I think it would be better to keep this one in English. Although, if there is enough demand, we could also do a separate story contest for other languages.

I am really looking forward to this years entries. Hopefully, we'll get at least 6 this time around. :statisfie

We need a host for this year's contest. I'd do it, except I intend to enter and it would be a conflict of interests.

Basically, the host would create the thread for the entries, and the host is the person who entrants send their stories to via PM. Readers won't know who wrote what when they're voting.

This contest is for entries in English, but there's nothing stopping other contests in other languages.
 
People,i'm reminding you all once again to write "Short" stories otherwise you know the consequences :skeleton:
 
I wrote a paragraph and that was so sooooo long, but how else do you create an atmosphere? unless you want it incomplete? at any rate I am going through this sardonic stage so I am gonna pass on the story writing this time around..

my advise to any writer here after they put down their story to scratch the first paragraph and start from the second.. I hate pilot maneuvers- no point for introductions we'll figure it out.
 
Yup, it's hardly a chapter in most books... doesn't anyone read? :D

November 30 is just a rough idea. Don't worry if you don't have a story finished by then, we can always extend the deadline to a later date. Looking forward to your story!

Well, this is for stories in the English language. Maybe you could write it in Urdu or Hindi then translate it?

Or separate contests for different languages could be set up in the future.
