May I join? I've been wanting to write for months but family-school problems have held me back - I usually write poems though. Now that there's a competition and I'm less busy than usual, I'm up for it! My first ever short story! :statisfie

I wrote a paragraph and that was so sooooo long, but how else do you create an atmosphere? unless you want it incomplete? at any rate I am going through this sardonic stage so I am gonna pass on the story writing this time around..

my advise to any writer here after they put down their story to scratch the first paragraph and start from the second.. I hate pilot maneuvers- no point for introductions we'll figure it out.

5000 words is pretty short...:statisfie
