What was the average no. of entries in the last 3-4 years? or how many entries were there last year?

1st year we had 10.
2nd year we had 4.
3rd year we had 5
4th year we had 3.
(Check the first post for the previous year's entries)

The good news is this year, at least 3 people have finished their entry already, and a fair number have expressed interest/are in the process of writing their stories. :)

3 people completed their entries already? What? Wow!

Now that's what I call being keen!

I've never written a story in my life but I'm tempted to enter just to surprise myself.

the story I had completed I now believe to suck quite badly.

I may write another one time permitting.

And it will be about absolutely nothing!
 
Take your time and make your entry the best it can be. The deadline is still months away and the word limit is generous, so really let your creativity loose.

^ There are many who say they will participate but it ends up with 3 or 4 entries. :heated: I think the mod should keep the period of voting a bit longer.

Why don't you participate in competition ,side by side it will help in your exam preparation:P
 
^ I think writing soo long stories needs creativity, experience and writing skills :p But I am really good at reading stories. :D
 
Is there any room left for This Old Man? I think I might just be able to finish writing the story I started (in my head) many years ago before this year is over. One question. What about the copyright? Do the writers still retain the copyright to the stories? Like, specifically, can I still publish my story on another site?

Yes, copyright belongs to the original author of each entry.

i hope ya'all are working on your stories and don't leave it for the last minute. how about posting about how much of it is written to keep the interest in teh contest alive and encourage others to write too.
 
ive written one whole story. and may write another


we can post more then one story right? :D
