I hope you all know this player - Gareth Southgate. He was playing for Middlesbrough till last season. He was playing. He was a part of the team. And now, he is the MANAGER of Middlesbrough !! :uuh: Wow ! So young a manager and coach. He would be getting together well with the players as they were his team-mates last season. :D

Italians break World Cup trophy


The biggest prize in sport deserved to be handled better.

It has been less than a week since Italy's penalty shootout victory over France in Berlin, but the coveted trophy is no longer in one piece.

Pictures on the front page of Italian newspaper 'Il Messaggero' showed skipper Fabio Cannavaro staring at the Cup, then holding up what appeared to be a piece of green malachite that has broken off its base.

When the picture was taken, Cannavaro was sitting on the Italian team bus when on his way to visit Gianluca Pessotto, the former Juventus player who is in hospital in Turin after falling from a window of the club's offices during the tournament.

The piece may have come off the trophy on the bus, according to the newspaper which also claimed it was later fixed up with glue.

The Italian captain admitted that he slept with the trophy on the night of winning the final, 'Sydney Morning Herald' reported.

The World Cup triumph was supposed to be a boon for Italy, struggling to come to terms with the Serie A match-fixing scandal involving four of the biggest clubs in the country.

But one would not think that way considering the way the world champions treated the coveted trophy.

but remember one thing NET is not true always it's false maybe i gotcha find out off the Tele from Mobile inshallah :) oh && yes by the way am sure they won't do that the "news" always tell little news, thats why called "news" :)

But it came in the newspaper as well, and also in TV, but they did not blow the news out of proportion, they did not give much importance to that news :rollseyes .....the news was only given for a short period ^o)

But the World Cup Trophy was broken long back ago. They won't show it in the news now. They showed it in the news just the day after the Trophy was broken, and that was long back.
And my favourite player is Zinedine Zidane. Even though Zizou has retired, I support France and the football club Real Madrid :)

I cant believe Riquelme, one of my favourite players, retired today sighting his moms not so great health the last few months. Do you guys think Aimar will be his replacement and will he return?

We are not some big astrologers here predicting the furture. What they do is wrong.
