lateral thinking riddle

Assalamu alikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh


A man lives on the twelfth floor of an apartment building. Every morning he takes the elevator down to the lobby and leaves the building. In the evening, he gets into the elevator, and, if there is someone else in the elevator -- or if it was raining that day -- he goes back to his floor directly. Otherwise, he goes to the tenth floor and walks up two flights of stairs to his apartment.

the solution is .........................................The man is a dwarf. He can't reach the upper elevator buttons, but he can ask people to push them for him. He can also push them with his umbrella.

Anyway here my question..
The day before yesterday I was 17 but next year I will be 20. What is my date of birth and which date I was talking.

Seem no one answer my question , I don't think it confuse. Should I give answer...Only date no year..example 30 Feb...

Actually there is nothing to do with February. Imagine today is 1 January 2006and your birthday was yesterday means 31 December 2005.
Let's say yesterday u just celebrated ur 18th , so b4 yesterday u was 17 right. Then in this year u will be 19 at the end of the year right ...so next year u will be 20 :okay: ;D

The answer is my birthdate is 31 Dec and I was talking on 1 Jan ....Get it????

the banana tree...lol , i know its not the right answer but it would be here in Egypt because we call this fruit : mawz & we say Suba' mawz which means : a Banana finger...lol;D ;D ;D
