Re: Riddles For All

aslaam alkyum,

here ya go...........

You arrive at a hotel and have 3 sets of golden rings. The first set of rings has 4 rings, the second set has 2 rings and the third only has one ring. You cannot take these sets of rings apart, exchange them for a different form of currency, and the hotel clerk has no change. You want to stay at the hotel for 7 nights, and you have to pay one gold ring for each night that you stay. You cannot pay in advance, or all at once at the end of your stay. How do you pay for your 7 nights at the hotel

Re: Riddles For All

You cannot take the sets apart, but can you separate the individual rings from the sets?

I've got a sneaking suspicion it's going to be something like 'you only have to pay for how many NIGHTS you stay there, not how many DAYS, so you just sleep there during the daytime' :p

aslaam alkyum,

you cant take the rings away from the sets, but you can use the sets independently, e.g. you cant take away the four rings from each other, but you can use them to pay.

Re: Riddles For All

Okay. Since you can't pay all in advance, or all at the end of your stay (i.e. at the end of 7 days), you do this:

After four days, pay with the set of 4.

Two days later, pay with the set of 2.

And on the last day pay with the single ring.

Re: Riddles For All

aslaam alkyum,

you have to pay or each night you stay, i.e for one night you have to 1 ring ant the start, for two nights you have to pay two rings.

so ur answer is incorrect

She didn't work it out. She just isn't that smart. It's a theoretical impossibility. She must've cheated before and this time known the answer.

aslaam alkyum,

more you say?

There are 8 marbles that weigh 1 ounce each, and 1 marble that weighs 1.1 ounces. The marbles are all uniform in size, appearance, and shape. You have a balance that contains 2 trays. You are only able to use the scale 2 times. How do you determine which marble is the heaviest using only the scale and marbles in 2 weighings.
