On the contrary, I love the desert. I do not like green. It reminds me of materialism.

I guess you are right. I love the desert because that was the abode of Prophet pbuh. I wanna experience what he experienced while traveling through it. Maybe find his footsteps hidden somewhere under the dunes? :p who knows.
