^^ hey sis u asked somewhere here about conductivity... well today i came across a formula for it and i thought "aha! maybe i should post"

resistance is given by

R = l/pA

where l=Lenght of resistor, A=Cross sectional Area of resistor, p=Conductivity of resistor...

soo.. re-arranging gives us experssion for 'conductivity'

p=l/AR = 'conductivity'

jazakAllah for the formula.
I guess your waiting for a rep.
Hmmm....

:sl:

p = Resistivity.
1/p = Conductivity

Resistance, R= pl/A

Resistivity, p = RA/l

Conductivity, 1/p = l/RA

"nothing is hard if you understand it and even then nothing is hard"
Physics is not difficult, if you learn what is actually going on it can be very useful, even in daily situations.

Should have said.

Force, F
Voltage, V
Electric field, E
Charge, Q

Also I just noticed I made a mistake :heated:

Should be E = F/Q and E = V/d

lol sorry to interrupt like this...

But i need help...

could someone explain to me concept of 'Moment' and 'Couple'?

From what i understand.. Moment is 'tendency' to rotate? but how does the force cause it to rotate? and why do we have to take cross products?

Also could someoen explain to me what a couple is, and how ti might relate to Moments? and finally...

What's a torque, is it similar to Moment?

i have no idea here..

Start with either E = F/Q or E = V/d and then get to the other equation by using physical relationships like W = Fd (thats a hint)

:sl:

Torque is equivalent to Moment.

:sl: lol sorry for this extremely late reply... yeh jazaks hehe i figured tht :statisfie:

^ saheeh,

one more question on behalf of Pygoscelis, to do with mass energy conservation.

So.. can someone state the law of conservation of mass/energy for us pls :D
