^ Actually it's not contradicting. What it means is you should be happy and content with whatever you have while at the same time try your best to achieve your goals.

When you work hard with a goal in mind you have less time to worry and be sad......and in the end even if you don't achieve exactly what you wanted you will get numerous other benefits on the side and lots of doors are opened to other opportunities that you didn't even know existed.

If your happy and content why bother trying to achieve some other goals? It means you still want something. :p:

:) well said, you summed it up.

The thing is we're just result oriented n not effort oriented.

Allah looks at our efforts n rewards us according to that so one should try their best n be happy while doing whatever Allah has asked us to do even if one fails , at the end of the day you know u tried ur best n that InshaAllah Allah Will reward you.
