These are pictures of Masjid Isitiqlal, The Cathedral, Emmanuel Church in Central Jakarta. The Mosque Istiqlal and The Cathedral are practically next to each other and the Emmanuel Church is close by.
Interesting fact: The Istiqlal mosque was designed by a christian architect after winning a competition

I like the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad amongst muslim places of worship and the Notre ****e of Paris amongst those for christians.

Salam!

I got some pictures from Madinah when i went for umrah last thursday. Masjid Al-Nabawi is getting more and more beautiful each time i visit.(hek, that was 2 years ago my last visit. ^^)

some improvements in the Prophetis Mosque since my last visit. Giant mechanical umbrellas which look like minars when closed but when opened it looks like giant date trees to shade people when praying outside the Masjid.

this mountain in Madinah(sry i 4got what its named sry) they say the Prophet(pbuh) and his army fight their enemies on this mountain. On this mountain the Prophet(pbuh) told his people not to take properties of the dead. Because during this battle, some people take the properties and jewelries of the slain soldiers.

It is more beautiful inside the mosque but i kept my mobile in pocket because i feel its not good to take photo inside the mosque in respect to its holiness. though a lot of people take pictures inside.

this is picture of Sheikh Zayed mosque in Abu Dhabi. This is new mosque which was completed year 2007. It is the 8th largest mosque in the world so far

this photo is from my pathan friend from pakistan. he said this is how Shah Faisal Masjid look like at night time during Ramadan month.

here's my local Masjid Umar in evington, about 10 mins from my house

MashAllah Its really nice from inside but not excessively beautiful or distracting

edit: there is a huge dull church right opposite but subhanAllah you can't even notice it with this masjid bang in the middle, alhamdulillah you can also hear athaan at certain times

Abha is a derivative of "Baha", which means splendor or glory. So the Baha'i greeting, "Allah'u'Abha", translates to "God is the most Glorious!"

So far, I'm LOVING the Prophet's mosque in Medina that Basit posted... it looks simply STUNNING

I love this thread, so I'll bump it.

The Shiekh Zayed mosque, the largest in the UAE and the eighth largest in the world. It can accomodate 40,000. It has the tomb of Sheikh Zayed in. Beautiful. I'm sure you'll agree.

Church of the Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. A beautiful Roman Catholic church, it's also the building in my avatar. It's right next to the Sea of Galilee.
