Asalaamu Alaikum Wr Wb, if this thread is about you having problems lowering your gaze then why did you title it "pornography"? That is obviously giving everyone the impression that you have a problem with porn addiction and that is why you got confusing answers at the beginning. Also it just does'nt make sense and is illogical why you have name this thread in such a way and very innappropriate.

Isnt it the same? pronography= looking on women, whether on roads or anywhere...?


Is there a halal way to satisfy ourselves (except marriage,please)

alhamduilillah I am a muslim and pray 5x times a day, but since last year, I dont know what happened, and i from somewhere developed a pleasure in masturbating and pornography. I tried hard and repented many times and tried to stop but i could only control myself for a month at the latest. then i left my house and went to my aunt's house for 1.5 months . there I had stopped all these and alhamduillah, i have stopped masturbating. But i cant leave pornography. I have stopped searching on the Internet for "that" kind of images, but still the women on reads attract me very much. they wear tight and small clothes and some of them are even see-through. And the advertisements showing all sorts of women in the 'fasionable' small tight clothes. Even the papers have "ramzan special offer" and a partly nude lady !! There is a "religious suppliment" with all sorts of these advertisements on the first and last pages and deen articles inside!... Please help me Allah will bless you all also.

Masturbation is something that is dependent on your lifestyle,if you have too much time and nothing to do,then the Shaitaan will obviously keep your mind pondering about it and eventually you'll find yourself doing it. When you do feel the urge to act upon your temptation then listen to the Qur'an or recite it,then it shall fade away,insha'Allaah. Change your daily routine a bit,visit a good friend,make new company with righteous people,attempt to stay away from places you feel tempted or cause you to be tempted. This is a wonderful series,I suggest you read it,insha'Allaah( located here ). You need to constantly remind yourself that what you are doing is not essential in life. The nafs will tempt you constantly as you keep thinking about it because the nafs is attached to the sins in the stomach and sexual organs,and since you have a habit you must slowly break through.

Remember that there is always something better to do,keep yourself occupied in studies, family,your religion,Allaah and such. Insha'Allaah,Allaah will guide you as long as you stay pure and believe in him.

Asalaamu Alaikum Wr Wb, it is not the same brother as you should have just named the thread problems with lowering gaze and because you have name it in such a way then people are assuming that you have a porn and masterbation problem. That is why you are so misunderstood in this thread. When you say a halal way of satisfying yourself do you mean as in to help you lower gaze?
